Heather - Day 36

I'm not going to lie, I probably won't post tomorrow. I plan to cheat. But it's for a good cause! Chick-fil-a night for Costa Rica is tomorrow and some of the proceeds go towards our trip!
So I will cheat.
And then I will roller skate (long story).
And then I will probably be sick...oh well.

Breakfast - banana and blueberries
Lunch - chips and salsa, Ezekiel cereal (weird combo I know)
Dinner - mushroom and onion omelet

Heather - Days 31-35

I KNOW WHAT YOU ARE THINKING!
No I haven't been cheating on my diet. Just crazy crazy busy. I clearly don't remember everything I have eaten in the past 5 days...so here is the best I can do

Breakfasts:
- fried egg
- Ezekiel cereal
- bananas
- grapes
- coffee

Lunches:
- homemade salsa and tortilla chips
- guacamole
- tuna salad
- salads w/ tomato, avocado slices, goat cheese
- sliced tomato

Dinners:
- salmon and brown rice
- Ezekial cereal
- homemade salsa
- grilled chicken salads (been eating a lot of these)
- tuna salad

Snacks:
- blueberries
- watermelon
- grapes
- raisins
- plums
- bananas
- tomatoes
- hard boiled eggs

5 more days!!!!!

Heather - Day 30

Only 10 days left??? That's crazy. This really seems to have gone by pretty fast.

Breakfast - coffee, fried egg
Lunch - california chicken salad w/ balsamic vinaigrette
Dinner - baked salmon, lemony brown rice, watermelon
Snack - banana (oh how I missed banana!)

Breakfast - none
Lunch - boiled peanuts, grapes, apple sauce
Dinner - 2 fried eggs
Snack - almonds, dried apricotss

Heather - Day 28

I know I know. I went a long time without posting. We have been crazy busy around here and we went on vacation so it was pretty impossible for me to post. I am starting up again though!

Breakfast - coffee
Lunch - grilled chicken salad
Dinner - grilled chicken salad w/ corn and black beans
Snack - boiled peanuts

Aaaaand I didn't gain any weight while on vacation! (And yes, I cheated a little there...whatcha gonna do?)

Lunch - chicken salad, pineapple, grape tomatoes
Dinner - ribeye, watermelon, green beans, edamame, grape tomatoes (and 1 bite of potato salad)

Heather - Day 20

HALFWAY!!!!!!
I honestly didn't think I would make it this far.
I wish I had some stats like fasting glucose, inches lost, etc. but I didn't think to do that when I started. I can tell you that I have lost 9 lbs! Which on a little frame like me is a lot. I didn't start this diet to lose weight, but that sure has been a nice side effect.

Breakfast - hard boiled egg, watermelon
Lunch - chicken salad, pineapple
Dinner - applesauce (tummy not great)

Heather - Day 19

I love Fridays!

Breakfast - none
Lunch - hard boiled eggs, pineapple, applesauce
Dinner - homemade chicken salad, sauteed portobello mushrooms and spinach
Snack - more pineapple! (and a starbucks coffee)

Heather - Days 16, 17, 18

Ok well I think I am kind of alone in this journey now, but that's ok! I really just needed help getting started, I think I can handle it from here on out!

Days 16-17
I was sick, so I really didn't eat meals. I just kind of snacked here and there...here's a list
- tomatoes w/ goat cheese
- applesauce
- carrot sticks
- tuna salad on spinach greens
- chicken salad
- blueberries
- raspberries
- fried eggs

Day 18
Breakfast - applesauce
Lunch - turkey dog, carrot sticks, brussel sprouts
Dinner - chicken salad, hard boiled eggs

Heather - Day 15

Still trying to recover from this nastiness, apparently a lot of people are dealing with it now.
I'm still not particularly hungry. Everything that sounds good is stuff I can't have. Oh well...trudging on!

Breakfast - applesauce
Lunch - fried egg and blueberries
Dinner - tuna salad and sliced tomatoes
Snack - salsa

Heather - Day 14

I have had some nasty drainage down the back of my throat that I can't seem to get rid of no matter how much water I drink. And I am losing my voice, blah.

Breakfast - blueberries
Lunch - goat cheese and fresh tomatoes
Dinner - organic turkey hot dog, spinach salad w/ goat cheese and homemade tahini dressing

Praising God that I have made it this far!

Felt really good today! Yay!!! Although I haven't been really hungry in the mornings, not sure why?

Lunch - smoked chicken, blueberries, cucumber
Dinner - ribeye, mashed cauliflower, portobello mushrooms
Snack - sliced tomato w/ goat cheese

I still want chocolate really really bad.
And bread!

I still haven't had headaches, but I have been getting nauseous at night for some reason.
How are you feeling?

Breakfast - none (nauseous and not hungry)
Lunch - 2 fried eggs, blueberries
Dinner - Chipotle steak bowl (cheated a little with cheese and sour cream)

Heather - Day 9

Costa Rica meeting was awesome!
I am so ready to go.

I have felt really good these last few days. Also, I have lost 4 lbs! I didn't really expect to lose weight that quickly. I thought I may lose 5lbs total!

Breakfast - scrambled egg
Lunch - tuna salad on a bed of baby spinach
Dinner - leftover broccoli and lentils (I didn't cheat with a cupcake even though I wanted too!)
Snack - blueberries and cucumber (from Sarah's garden!)

Heather - Day 8

I didn't have a headache at all today! Praise God maybe the detox is over. It's getting easier to eat like I should, but I really want a chocolate chip cookie. Or a brownie. Or anything chocolate...

Lunch - 2 eggs over medium, zucchini, grape tomatoes
Dinner - baked salmon, lemony lentils, broccoli
Snack - almond butter (just a spoonful by itself, yum!)

Heather - Day 7

I'm skipping day 6!
Ok today was travel home day so it was a little crazy. I did cheat at breakfast but it was soooo worth it. Kimberly made Paula Dean's french toast casserole. Yeah.

Breakfast - casserole, strawberries, blueberries
Lunch - none, no time!
Dinner - grilled chicken salad, grape tomatoes

Migraine was better today, but not gone completely.

Heather - Day 5

We have been staying up pretty late so I haven't posted at night. A friend of our friend's came over last night with fresh baked chocolate chip cookies and apple crumble, and I resisted!!! It was super tough though.

Breakfast - bruschetta frittata (goat cheese, tomatoe, onion, basil, olive), coffee
Lunch - none, we ate a late breakfast
Dinner - sirloin, avocado salad, spring mix salad with balsamic dressing

One more day in KS and then I'm home!
These migraines are killer. When is detox over?

Heather - Day 4

I'll be home Sunday evening.
Today I am feeling nauseous. I had a migraine last night that made me nauseous as well. I've never had that happen before. I wish my tummy would settle down! I really am trying to lean on the Lord and pray when I start feeling bad. It's helping a little.
Praying for your blood work Kim, and for Hali on her camping trip.

Sorry we got home late last night so I didn't have a chance to post.

Breakfast - Vegetable frittata, blueberries, strawberries
Lunch - Portobello mushroom burger (yeah I cheated a little with the bread) and cole slaw
Dinner - Whole wheat penne (I know) with asparagus and goat cheese, brussel sprouts
Snack - carrot sticks with guacamole, coffee

Hello??? Where are you?

We made it to KS safe and sound. My day was a little crazy eating-wise, but I did ok.

Breakfast - mixed fruit cup and coffee
Lunch - none, almost missed our flight
Dinner - 6 oz. sirloin and steamed broccoli
